The Difference Between n00b and newbie.


I hope this guide will help some people.

People seem to get these mixed up a lot. Here is a short lesson that shows the difference between the two. Feel free to post your comments and question ECT!

N00bs are either:

(a)A low level acting as if they know everything.
(b) A high level that really doesn?t know anything.
(c) Any scammer
(d) any beggar, who asks for free items and such.
(e) ne1 hoo uses chtspk 2 much.
(f) Anyone who talks about how good they are way too much; or is extremely rude.
(g) SOMEONE WHO ALWAYS TYPES IN CAPS LOCK
(h) Anyone who constantly calls others noobs (or insults them), for no reason other than those listed above.
(h) *Blank*

A newbie is:

(a) A low level, usually people consider newbies to be level 1 to 25
(b) Someone who is asking a simple question, and doesn?t ask for free items at all.
(c) Someone new to *Blank* (or any other site you might happen to be playing).

A nub is:
(a)A "nub" is a low level character owned and operated by someone who also has a high level primary character. In other words, it appears in the situation where a character is a newbie or lowbie, yet the person behind the character is not a newbie.

EXAMPLE A:

n00b: PLZ GIMME FREE ITEMZ IM POOR!! 1!! 11!!
Newbie: What are some good ways I can make money?

A Newbie wants to do things for themselves, whereas a n00b wants you to do everything for them.

EXAMPLE B:

n00b: gimme dat sord u hav and all the pots u hav cuz im doin a quest an need dem for dis quest so give em or ill report u!!!!1111!!111!!!!!

Newbie: Can someone please help me with this quest? I?m confused.

N00bs love reporting people to GM’s. they live for it because it heightens their low self-esteem. Newbies probably dont even know there IS such thing! So if someone reports you for the dumbest reason, like the one below, then they you can consider them a n00b.

EXAMPLE C:

n00b: Give me a *Insert item* someone now!

me: no.

n00b: omg your soo soooo meen im reportin u 4 beng meen cuz u wont gimme nethin!!!!

EXAMPLE D:

n00b: Hey do u have ne *insert item* that I can buy


me: sure, how many?

n00b: i want 10

me: Ok, sure! 10m is a fair price, is that ok?


N00b: no i want 500kea

me: But, that?s a bit cheap. 1m?s a fair price.1m or nothing.

n00b: BUT LOOK @ that shop over dere! they’re 500kea u n00b!!!!!!!!!!!

me: Theashop is an inaccurate source of information for prices...

n00b: NO ITS NOT!!!! u noob lets fight in *Blank*


n00bs will often try and fight you in *Blank* no matter what the contrast in levels are. They do this to try and "prove their worth" that they are better. But really - what do levels mean anyway? Seriously, I?ve seen the politest level 10’s who just wants to play *Blank* for fun.
