I am working to make this a better guide as i go. My highest acheivement lvl was FD5 warrior which has been deleted but I have gone through this more times than I can remember with newbie characters.
This guide is dedicated to my former character ChosenSword whom I deleted because the many mistakes I made. Hopefully this will prevent others from making the same mistakes. This is not how to lvl fast but more how to give your skills more power. If you are only interested in leveling fast with a few skills: See Lentz's stat guide.
If you are starting out as a vagabond and like to see most of your hits land, raise both dex at the same level as strength. **You don't have to. It's just my preference.** Your hp(health points) and ve(vital energy) are just fine at this point since you will be mostly leveling on mobs that run away and resort to attacking only when they are about to die. As for wisdom, you really don't need it unless you are a revolving chakra warrior and you have a relic or you are of some other class. I will be experimenting with the other classes eventually. Once you start, your first priority is to kill foxes. As for Heavenly Demon and Sacred Flower, it will be spiders. What you want to do is raise enough money to buy the training weapon of your choice plus the active skill and smashing skill for that weapon. If you are in wu-tang all you need is 20 gold for basic fist. You have to get it to at least cheng 2 for future quests so you might as well start with it and just wait for your future weapon to drop and if it doesn't and you want to be a wu-tang warrior then buy yourself a training sword and of course basic sword and basic smashing sword. As for other clans with fists it is usually best to just start out with fists 'cause you really don't need to buy a weapon for your fists and it saves you time and money. But then again if you are certain you want the warrior and you wish to lvl all skills, then you probably should just hold out 'til you can get 80 gold. Try to avoid selling collectables and save them for clan donations. I have found that collecting resources for 1 conqueror's key and a lvl 1 elixer is pretty much a waiste of time. Some poeple may disagree.
Anyway, on to stat building. This build relies on you, the player's, observations of your own characters fighting performance. You have started out with 13 str and 13 dex or 18 str or whatever you like. You can kill any mob that doesn't have a red colored name (with some exceptions) and any mob that isn't dark blue. Here are the rankings of mobs and there color coded names from highest to lowest lvl. Red You probably shouldn't mess with these mobs. There is no telling how much stronger they are if you are new to the game. Especially stay away from bloodwolves till they are orange. They gang up on you and even at orange you are likely to suffer wounds and lose health fast. White Shadow disiples are not so tough when they turn orange but watch out for the knife of white shadows. He has a ranged attack that can kill you depending on your build within 3 to 5 hits. He usually appears near one of the entrances/exits to your clan base. Orange (Kind of look brown) These are your over all build objective mobs These mobs are the testers to see how well your build is doing. Yellow White Green Light blue Dark Blue You can kill these for fun but unless you just lvled and they just turned dark blue, then you won't gain any experience or kung fu lvl from them.
Your over-all goal for your build is to be able to successfully grind on orange mobs. The explaination or definition of a successful grind is to be able to kill mobs with ve running out faster than hp and not have ext wounds appear. In other words you don't want to lose your health before you run out of energy and you don't want ext wounds to consume your health. If you can't successfully grind the orange mobs then move down to yellow. If you can't successfully grind on yellow move to white and so on and so forth.
Very important: Do not keep killing when your Vital energy runs out. If you do, your kung fu lvls will not rise. Your active skill may still work but it will stop leveling. The other objective is that you want to keep at least one smashing skill in constant use. So you want to hit the number 1(this is where I find the smashing skill easiest to use but you don't have to place it in the number 1 position) after every time your active skill goes through its routine.
As a wu-tang or Heavenly Demon, future healer or hybrid, I strongly suggest when you get lightfoot you immediately go to hefie, then go to League of beggars or Shaolin to get the basic fist smashing technique since it's not available at the wu-tang shan. After you join a clan, it will be too late to do this. LOB is a shorter trip, plus girls and guys are allowed there. HD should definately wait till they have lightfoot. You would really have to have a lot of patience to walk all the way accross hefie without it. The reason they put the basic smashing fist in these 2 is probably because the devs wanted the players to see how much work they put into the game. LOB does have some beautiful scenery.
Building to a successfull grind: This is not about speed leveling. This is the best build to lvl up your skills before any other build would. You might think this is a waist of time. If so, this is not the build for you. I think it would be a waist of time to see the same animations over and over again. But that's just my opinion. And yes I admit I did mess up a little on my raising light warrior but it wont take much to fix.
Example: You are testing out on newly available orange mobs. Most likely scenario: (1) You recieve ext wounds You should add at least 2 to strength (depending on how much you are taking) and the rest to dex and/or con. This should take care of your balance with time which puts external wounds under control. How important this is to you is up to you.
Second most likely scenario: (1) You are receiving no amount of ext wounds or an acceptable amount. (2) Your warrior/vagabond is still losing health at an unacceptable rate. You should add something to your constitution. I like to add 2 but that's my own preference.
Third and least likely Scenario. Your warrior/vagabond had met your prefered requirements of Scenario's 1 and 2 so you should add something to essence. For vagabond I like to add 2. For warrior I like to add 1 because it costs 2 chi points.
Here's a rough outline of how your build should be and many higher lvl warriors would agree with me. These are listed priorties from highest to lowest although you don't have to follow it. This is just a recommended outline. Str Dex Con for more health to support your str. This is also what I call the skill building stat. Ess for longer grind which will be very seldom raised if at all will be raised well with relics and increases your chi kung defense but not as well as wisdom Wisdom mainly just for relics and can be increased with relics for chi kung dodge and defense
Rage Mode: I have just figured out that rage mode only comes with external wounds. Your damage and attack rating increase while your defense and dodge decrease and your health remains the same. Therefore, rage mode is more user friendly for those with high health.
For Warrior skill leveling: You can pick and choose the smashing skills that you want to lvl up, but for every smashing skill that you want to lvl up, you want to take an active skill to lvl with it. This will keep your smashing skills at a godly lvl higher to your active skills.
If you want to lvl all the smashing skills, you will have to learn all the active skills as well. To do this you must know about how to use your action slots. To quickly switch between your action slots, press the ~ to the left of your number 1 key on your keyboard. You have 3 slots.
On the first slot is where the fast lvling smashing skills go with your shadows ability at number 1, followed by charging smashes, then slow recast fast lvling smashes, and lastly other miscellaneous arts med and steps.
On slot 2 you place your weakest smashing skill on the number one position and the progressively more damaging skills behind it. I find the quickest way to disperse a mob is to press 1 then 2 and so on till you have reduce them to below 50% health then continue using your weakest smashing which should be in number 1 position until they are deceased. Once the number one skill has leveled you can move it to where it should be in your slot behind the weaker skills.
The third slot you can put your strongest action skill in number 1 position so you can quickly switch to it in emergency and progressively weaker skills behind it. Try to use your weakest active skill as much as you can till it's leveled. This method should keep your smashing skills in a the godly position they should be at.
If you don't like certain smashing skills then throw them away. You can throw away as many active skills per smashing skills you get rid of. I like to lvl them all just to see all the active skills grow to at least cheng 5. Moreover if keep your all of your active skills and throw out some of your smashing skills, the smashing skills you have left should become even more powerful by comparison.
As for how to use the slots.
Keep in mind your fast lvling skills will take up more ve as they lvl up so these skills such as shadows, charging, earth, and moon for wutang, after a certain lvl, will be your emergency skills for when your hp is running out faster than your ve and if you have to continuously resort to using these skills then you probably don't want to consider yourself as a successful grinder and you probably don't want to raise essence at this time. I am planning on lvling all my skills to mastery. Including even basic sword. I think even at lvl 10 basic sword will only take 2 ve per strike which will be a ve saver after I have reached my goal to master all skills. I haven't reached mastery yet and don't plan to until all of my other skills start taking up 3 ve per move. That is why, when they are all mastered, i can decide which ones to keep and which ones to throw away. When any of my skills reach lvl 10 mastery, they will be retired until the others reach mastery. Then I can see how much ve each active skill takes at lvl 10 but most importantly, I can continue using my powerful smashing skills when my active skills are mastered.
Conclusion: There are no rules to building your character's stats. Find your own method that works for you. You don't need a stat guide. There are no rules to building a successful character. Your success in this game is what you want to accomplish.
ChaiKwan RL something and gaining lvls fast Wu-Tang Warrior on Nirvana Formerly ChosenSword FD5 Wu-Tang Warrior. But made too many errors that felt like it would take forever to fix so this character was deleted.
