Scar of The Land: An advanced PvP Chi Kung Healer Guide

Advance PvP Chi Kung Healer (Floral Crown 1 or higher healers)
Hello, I play the chi kung healer named Kyrain on Nirvana and my healer is currently Crimson Snake 2. This is my only high level character and while I had experimented with other clans I had not gotten them past GC 1. For the most part, my chi kung healer is everything I have and don't have. I had initially wrote a very detailed and focused guide but as with any other long guide, I couldn't stand reading my own guide. This is the condensed version.
First off, I want to be extremely clear that this guide will only specifically address high level healers choosing to play as chi kung healers. I will not address your average accepted STR/DEX healers. Secondly, this guide will not give out any specific stats for any particular build (CK healer or STR/DEX healer). The reasoning behind this decision to exclude specific stats is because each player has a comfort zone. Stats that work extremely well to one type of playstyle/experienced players may be horribly wrong in the hands of less experienced players. Thirdly, since this guide address high level chi kung healers, some of the item described will be out of reach of some players.
A final note, all information is condensed to bring to light only the topics that really matters the most, CK healer configuration, the actual PvP capability, strategy of the chi kung healer, and its ability to grind to continue leveling up.
So without further ado, the condensed "Scar of The Land: An Advanced PvP Chi Kung Healer Guide":
SECTION 1 - Base Configuration
Chi Kung Healer selection:
The best clans for chi kung healers are Wu Tang, Beggar Clan, and Heavenly Demon. The reasoning for this is because Shaolin, Sacred Flower, and Brotherhood of Thieves healers have slow casting nukes vs. instant cast for the other four clans. There are no major benefits differences between the three clans in regard to healer ability so simply pick one and run with it (other then aesthetics). The most beautiful aspect of being a chi kung healer is that almost no opponent ever realize he/she is being hit until their HP is already down 2-4K. Chi kung healer's nukes are virtually invisible giving you the element of surprise when you need it most. In fact, in group pvp, you can be masked and nuking an enemy player(s) from within their own groups of players and most won't realize it until it's too late for their team mate(s).
Chi Kung Healer base stat:
The three primary stats to concentrate on for a good chi kung healer build are STRENGTH, ESSENCE, and WISDOM. You should leave CONSTITUTION and DEXTERITY at bare minimum only to equip Elemental Crown Bad Karma relics. I recommend the following stat ranges for accomodating FC 1 through CS level chi kung healer set up.
STR = 100-170
ESS = 100-175
WIS = 200-250
CON = 14-20
DEX = 14-20
STR: This stat is very crucial to your overall ability to take hits from warrior roles. With full buffs (hybrid+healer)+premium+BK relics, your chi kung healer must achieve a minimum of 1500 DEF but preferably 2000 DEF. Your survival rating against warriors will increase dramatically if you can achieve 2000 DEF and have a minimum of 650+ DODGE rating.
ESS: Your ESSENCE stat is very important as it reduces the damage done against you by other chi kung healers, nukers and hybrids. Your goal here is to achieve 800-1100 CHI KUNG DEFENSE. The essence stat also controls your base damage (non critical hit). Higher essence will yield a higher base damage.
WIS: The all important WISDOM stat is very crucial to the success of your chi kung healer. This stat boost both non-critical damage and critical damage against your target. It also increases your chi kung dodge which can mean the difference between a lost or a win in PvP encounters.
SECTION 2 - The expensive stuff
Chi Kung Healer relic set up:
As far as relics are concerned, BAD KARMA (BK) relics are preferred over GOOD KARMA relics. The reason here is very simple as only BAD KARMA relics will allow you to modify your chi kung healer into one of three very important configuration: anti-nuker, anti-warrior or general purpose PvP. It is very important that you build your chi kung healer to be able to switch back and forth between one of the three configuration to give you maximum versatility in PvP. Avoid building your chi kung healer to fit only one configuration at all cost. You will need all or a combination of the following relics/trinkets to achieve this goal.
Relics:
BK EC, FD, RC CON set
BK EC, FD, RC STR set
BK EC, FD, RC ESS set
BK EC, FD, RC WIS set
Trinkets:
200 DEF trinket
3 60 DEF trinkets
100 Dodge trinket
Seals:
WanDaye seal +5 to all stats
Chi Kung Healer clothing & weapon set up:
You have three options: Full mansion or wild tower set w/4 pockets (best set up), 3 pockets speed clothings w/2 slot, or 3 pockets purchased NPC clothings w/2 slots. Preferably, if you can afford it go with the mansion and wild tower set. At the very least, if you can not afford mansion or speed clothing, the normal NPC clothing with 2 slots will suffice.
Hat
80 chi kung attack rating hat
Chi kung dodge hat w 2% damage increase on critical
10% speed hat (normal 2 slot NPC or one of the above with 2 slots)
Wristband
300 damage wristband
300 chi kung damage wristband
10% speed wristband (or the one above with 2 slots)
Weapon
Golden Blossom WanDaye bracer
Elemental Crown WanDaye bracer
Elemental Crown WanDaye sword (used for grinding)
The EC WD bracer does more damage over the GB WD bracer due to the 10% critical rating. When using against players with low to moderate ESS/WIS, you'll see lots of "RED" criticals in the ranges of 600-1k damage. However, the GB WD bracer is better against WIS nukers and WIS hybrids. You can't lose so simply chosing one or the other should be no brainer.
SECTION 3 - The viable PvP healer
Chi Kung Healer speed:
We all know that speed is important but it's especially important for chi kung healers as you'll have no shields like nukers and no paranuke like hybrids. Speed is both your offense and defense mechanism against the other top PvP roles (nukers and hybrids).
Anti-Nuker, Anti-Warrior, and General Purpose PvP configuration:
Please refer to the following screenshot for differences between the configuration, it's pros and cons.
Anti-nuker/hybrid
PROS: CK AR is high, CK DEFENSE is over 1000 and a good CK DODGE rating. This setup is best used against a nuker in 1 vs. 1 situation. The focus of this configuration is to reduce the damage done to you by your chi kung opponent while maintaining a high enough chi kung attack rating to break down his/her shield quickly. This configuration provides all around protection and offense against nukers, other chi kung healers and hybrids.
CONS: Your physical defense falls below the 1500 DEF mark and it will make you easy picking for warriors. Be on guard when using this build in group PvP.
Anti-warrior
PROS: High physical defense of 2000 DEF, Dodge over 700 (warriors will hit 1/3 of attacks), High Chi Kung AR to consistently hit the low to moderate WIS build warrior. The focus of this configuration is much like the anti-nuker in that it is built to resist warriors while allowing you to chip away at their 8-12kHP.
CONS: This configuration is slightly less effective against WIS nukers and hybrids.
General Purpose PvP
PROS: This configuration balances out DEFENSE, CK DEFENSE, CK AR, CK DODGE, and DODGE. The focus here is group PvP and this configuration will provide a decent all around protections against any role you may encounter.
CONS: There is not much here that is undesirable.
PvP against the other roles:
Against nukers: You may initially stand your ground and trade nukes until you reach 50% HP. Allow the nuker to attack you one more time before you run off because this will set his/her combat timer to a few seconds above yours. With decent speed, you should be able to put some distance between yourself and the nuker. Once your combat timer run out, heal for 428HP and allow the nuker to attack you to keep his/her combat timer at 18 seconds while keeping yours at 4 second. Once your HP is fully heal, time another out of combat heal and enage the nuker. This will provide you with 428HP recovery for the next 15 second nullifying any damage the nuker throws at you. Repeat this process and you should beat most nukers if they fall into this rinse and repeat cycle. The endgame to this strategy is to make it look like you're near losing all your HP but in actuality, you're depleting the nuker of his VE. No VE, no shields, no shields = dead nuker.
Alternate nuker strategy: You can also run into any area affecting LOS (Line of Sight). 90% of the time, the nuker will get frustrated and try to do melee damage to you. It is at this point you can use a +9 melee weapon on them. If the nuker does not have 1500 DEF or higher, you’ll be rewarded with big 300-700 damage per swing.
Against hybrids: Use your short nukes, run away and then use long range nuke. This is so that if and when a paranuke land, the hybrid will have to take a few steps to cast his/her next paranuke. This 2-3 second difference can mean a victory or lost for you. Do not let your HP fall below 50% before going out of combat to use 428 HP heals. The hybrid will not be connecting with paranuke often so take advantage of this to go out of combat to use your heals.
Alternate hybrid strategy: Allow another team mate to engage the hybrid to get his/her attention while you nuke from behind the hybrid. The hybrid will NOT see or know he/she is even being hit because your nukes are invisible. My rule is to target all hybrids first because they are the ones preventing my team mate from doing their part.
Against warriors: Run and gun, do not let your own HP fall below 50% before going out of combat to use full 428HP heals. Use the same strategy you would with nukers but remember to chip away at his/her HP. Always keep an eye on your target and at the moment he/she turns to run away, chase and attack, but do not chase them directly. Calculate where he/she is headed and cut across as some warriors will pretend to run away to make you come to them. He/she will turn back toward you to close the distance gap much quicker and you don't want this. Rinse and repeat until 12KP HP is depleted and warrior is on the ground. Since the warrior have no shields, also keep in mind how much damage you're doing against the warrior. Any time you're doing over 12K damage and your target is still walking...you'll know he/she is using HP supplements like Korean Ginseng. You can decide at this point in time to continue or leave.
SECTION 4 - Continuing forward "The Grind"
THE GRIND - New levels are important!!
The number one question I had been receiving since posting this guide is, "Can your chi kung healer still grind with the set up you described?"
My answer to this is, "Yes, I can grind quite well with my chi kung healer using either a +9 FC 4 sword or an EC WD sword." I post 2 screenshots below to give you an idea of my set up used for grinding. The screenshots will clearly show stats that support grinding quite well as oppose to common belief that a chi kung healer can not grind.
The following set up give 2000 DEF with high attack rating and dodge. 4k hp with 428hp heal is all you need and with the high AR, you'll miss 1/3 hits which is not bad at all. This is the set up I use for grinding on green to white monsters in LiaoDong. I can grind without problems against Oni Samurai and Phantom Samurai on this set up.
Against the other higher CS type monsters, I use this set up which provides 2200 DEF but lowers my attack rating slightly. This set up I use against yellow to orange type monsters in LiaoDong.
Conclusion:
Healers can become very effective and poweful pvper if you choose the CK route over the STR/DEX build. On top of all this, your chi kung healer can still grind and level up just like everyone else. Below is my current combat record rating and while it is certainly not as high as a nuker's combat record, it's a fairly decent record for a class that is suppose to be at the bottom of the PvP food chain. Go forth and become a scar of The Land. Enjoy!!
