Conqueror`s ChestA Conqueror`s Chest
is an ancient treasure chest of unknown origin.
Legends abound of the treasures that can be found in Conqueror`s Chests.
It is known that Golden chests contain more treasure than silver chests.
Chests can be opened with special keys that will be consumed in the process.
If you are in a hurry, you can force a chest open without a key.
It is said that opening a Chest by force can lessen the rewards you may
discover within.
However, with the following special keys you can attain better rewards of a
specific type as follows:
Red Keys = Increased chance of acquiring a weapon.
Green Keys = Increased
chance of acquiring clothing.
For best results you need to take the
Supplementary Elixir first.
Quest Items
You can only gain
Quest Items from NPC characters as you engage upon quests. They cannot be sold,
transferred to a Courier`s Guild storehouse, or thrown away until the quest is
completed.
Epithets
Epithets full guide
An Epithet is a small sign shown
above your character, below your name, in-game. "Demon Accolyte" or "Sacred
Flower Student" are examples of basic Epithets. "Killer of Shen Mo" is an
example of an advanced Epithet.
Your selected Epithet is visible to other players. It can confer extra
benefits upon you.
You can gain Epithets in various ways: duels, clan
ranking, quest rewards, defeating a boss, etc.
You can only use one Epithet
at a time, regardless of how many you have.
When you switch between
Epithets, there will be a time delay before you can switch again.
[Apply] Button
Your Epithets can be accessed from your Character Screen.
Select an epithet and press the "Apply" button to display that epithet above
your character on the game screen.
[Remove] Button
Press the "Remove" button to stop showing the epithet on
the game screen.
[Delete] Button
You may only have a certain number of particular types of
Epithets. If you exceed this number then a random Epithet will be erased from
your list. To avoid unwanted loss of a favorite Epithet, remove all unnecessary
Epithets with the "Remove" button.
Blood Essence Point

Point.
Karma Points

The Karma system is still in the early
stages of being implemented in 9Dragons. Good and Bad Karma Points will

is cause for Bad Karma. Know also that certain Weapons, Wardrobe, and various
Items may have certain Karmic Requirements before they can be implemented.
Karmic Titles of The Land that may befall you are as follows:

Ornamentation
Ornaments details
Adding Ornaments can give items many desirable
attributes.
Ornamentation refers to attaching Ornaments to weapons or clothes to gives
those items heightened functionality. Anyone can learn to attach ornaments but
making the Clasps to attach ornaments (or remove ornaments that are already
attached) can only be done by skilled craftsmen.
These skilled craftsmen will ask for payment and certain raw Materials to
make the clasps for ornamentation. There is also a chance that their work will
fail, and if it does then the weapons / clothes and materials may be destroyed.
Additional Clasps / Pockets
If you wish to have additional clasps or
pockets added to your weapons or clothes then these same skilled craftsmen can
do that as well. The possibility remains that their work will fail, and if it
does then the weapons / clothes and materials may be destroyed.
Removing Ornaments
The craftsman will charge a fee to return an item to
it`s original state, but know that this process will destroy the Ornaments. For
an additional fee and some extra materials, the Ornaments can be seperated and
used again.
There is also a risk of failure when seperating Ornaments.
Dying and Coma
States
If your Life bar falls to zero you will enter a state
called Dying. Should this happen, pray for enlightenment.
While Dying
you will eventually fall into a state called Coma. If you are in a group with
friends, then one of them can revive you from your Coma by quickly
DOUBLE-CLICKING upon your CHARACTER NAME and thereby sharing their Chi. This
technique is called Reviving Chi Kung. You too can apply your Chi to assist
those who are dying by administering your own Reviving Chi Kung with a
DOUBLE-CLICK. This can prevent you from having to return great distances should
you choose to revive elsewhere. If a friend revives you on the spot you will
lose more experience than if you revive at your Clan Base or at an Inn.
Coma state means you will lose various amounts of Experience Points and
then revive at the location of your choice.
Revival on the spot where
you lay Dying costs you more Experience Points than reviving at an Inn or at
your Clan Base. So choose your place of revival with care, rather than upon
impulse
Black & White
Wars
Black and White Wars
White Clan disciples and Black Clan
disciples battle for dominance in Black and White Wars.
Black Clan
disciples protect The Overlord of The North Sea (a Dynamic NPC) while White Clan
disciples protect The Hermit of The South Sea (another Dynamic NPC), as both
groups try to defeat the DNPC of their sworn enemies.
The group which
defeats their enemy`s DNPC claims a special antidote to a certain mist and the
right to enter a secret floor of The Cave of The Conqueror, where a great new
foe, and even greater rewards await!
Black Market
In many parts
of The Land you may encounter dubious merchants who buy and sell illegal items.
They are Black Market Merchants and their items are typically of uncertain
origin.
Weapons bought through the Black Market can be cheap and of low-quality or
expensive and of exceptionally high-quality. Sometimes they can be superior
weapons with superlative history.
Weapon Refinement.
Weapons Refinement/Ornament Binding Guide
Refinment Guide 101
Refining a weapon with special raw
materials can raise that weapon`s basic stats.
For a price, a skilled craftsman can take a normal weapon and craft it into a
superior weapon with additional capabilities. The extent of these changes vary
by weapon type.
The Master Refiner is Mo Tailan, who runs his own refinement shop in Heifei.
To have Mo Tailan refine a weapon for you, you should bring her the required
fee and the requested materials. The more you refine a weapon the higher the
quality of materials you will need. Most materials can be acquired by trading
Blood Essence (sometimes referred to as The Blood of The Dragon) to merchants
who carry refinement materials. Mo Tailan will tell you what she requires.
Know that there is a risk to refinement, even with a craftsman as skilled as
Mo Tailan. There is a small chance that the weapon will be destroyed in the
process. However, if Mo Tailan succeeds, your weapon will become far more
powerful.
If you refine a weapon to a very high level with Dragon`s Blood it will
generate a powerful aura of illumination.
(1) Refinement of Normal Weapons
The advantage of attempting to refine
normal weapons is that they have a higher success rate and lower chance of being
destroyed. However, even if they are refined many times to maximize their attack
power, their basic properites never change. Their advantage also makes them less
valuable than other types of weapons.
(2) Refinement of Precious Items and
Artifacts
Precious items are more difficult to refine than normal items, but
they can be refined with the same materials. These are much more valuable
because they often gain additional functions after refinement.
(3) Other
Weapons
Weapons that bear the names of famous people are precious items. It
would be unfortunate to destroy such a special weapon by risking refinement, but
it also presents an opportunity to create a truly unique weapon.
(4) Items
that Cannot Be Refined
Refiners will not refine weapons that are already
very powerful or rare. It is an unwritten law between refiners because they fear
that they might accidentally destroy a precious weapon. None of them wish to
risk the disgrace of destroying a famous weapon.
Additionally, high level items may have already achieved their maximum power.
Talk to the refiner to find out if a weapon can be refined.
Refinement Material
Refinement materials are made from the careful
extraction of Blood Essence. Give Blood Essence to a merchant and he will trade
you the materials you require.
Although it is rare, you may find Blood Essence carried by disciples of
Deviant Clans
Types of Duels
There are
four types of Duels: Free Duel, Individual Duel, Group Duel, and Duel
Competitions. Here are their characteristics.
[Free Duel]
After paying an entry fee in gold to a Duel Master, you can
engage in Duels at the Duel Grounds without any prior agreements. You can also
have Duels while joined in a Party.
[Individual Duel]
These Duels require the agreement of both individuals.
The Duel takes place on a smaller Duel Ground.
[Group Duels]
These Duels are started with the agreement of Party
Leaders. Battle Royales and Leader Battles are staged in Large Duel Grounds. In
smaller Duel Grounds, Multiple Rounds or Single Rounds can be fought.
Battle Royale is a type of Group Duel that will only end when everyone in one
group has been killed.
Leader Battles are similar to Battle Royales but they end when the leader of
one group has been killed.
In Multiple Rounds, two teams engage in one-on-one combat in an agreed order.
The winner of one round stays on to fight the next challenger.
In Single Rounds, two teams engage in one-on-one combat in an agreed order.
The number of winners will determine the outcome.
[Duel Competition]
This is a large-scale Duel. The final winner will be
given an Epithet, Reputation, and items worthy of Artifacts or better
Scrolls and
Books
Scrolls, books, and notes can be opened with a click of the
right mouse button.
The content could be anything from a love poem to a secret clan order.
These items are typically well worth investigating.
Show All (See Other`s
Info)
If you click on other players or Deviant Clan members, a
target window appears. This has several functions.
Click on the
human-shaped button in the lower-left corner to see information on other
players. Click on the triangle button to see your options.
[Deviant Clan
Info]
As Deviant Clan members are your greatest opponents, you may wish to
compare your own abilities against theirs before initiating combat. If their
name appears in White then they are of a similar level to you. If their name
appears in Red then they are of a far higher level than you.
[Character
Info]
You can check information on other players stats quite easily.
Click on the player you wish to know about and then click on the "info"
button that appears. The other player will be given the choice to "Show All" and
may choose to accept or decline your request.
[Brief]
If the other
player is not willing to give out information then you can only see their basic
stats.
In this case, the information on other players will be displayed in
three degrees of information, dependant upon the difference in levels between
you and your target.
[Equipment]
If you are both willing it is
possible to show the data on your Equipment to each other.
This information
is also displayed in three levels, and what you can see depends on the level
difference.
[Attributes]
Players can also choose to show their
Attributes.
There are 3 varying stages of detail for Attributes as well.
[Show All]
If you both agree then all basic stats, Equipment and
Attributes can be viewed.
[Character Menu]
The character menu shows
the interactions that can be attempted between players. However, every action
(except whisper) can be refused by the other player.
Checking InThere is at least one
Inn in every town. If you talk to the Innkeeper, she will allow you to check-in
and make that Inn your Revival Point. By choosing to revive at such an inn, you
can minimize the amount of experience lost from dying.
If you check-in at a new town`s Inn, it will replace the previous Inn as your
Revival Point.
Heal
You can pay any
town`s Doctor to heal your internal or external wounds, and he can also sell you
treatments which will allow you to heal yourself while you are traveling.
Each time you travel you run the risk of being wounded in battle. External
wounds will lessen your Life and internal wounds will reduce your Vital Essence.
Unless these wounds are treated and healed you will not be able to raise your
Life or Vital Energy to their maximum scores.
Consume a self-treatment or visit a Doctor at a local Clinic to have your
wounds healed.
Manuals
A Manual is a book that you can read which
will miraculously allow your skill levels to rise faster for a given period of
time.
The value of a Manual is determined by how effective it is in raising your
skill level, and how long the effect lasts.
At the moment, every clan trainer has Basic Manuals that they offer to their
disciples. It is a rumored that the clans also have more precious manuals that
are kept hidden. Note that one cannot use the manual of a rival clan.
During The War of Nine Dragons the skill to make manuals was lost. It is
whispered that someone has now rediscovered the secret, but no one has confirmed
this yet.
Kung Fu Manual: Raises the skill level of the described Kung Fu technique.
Clan Manual: This helps to explain the clan`s underlying principles. You can
gain rapid growth in the clans Kung Fu if you understand these underlying
principles.
Role Manual: Kung Fu skills that are particular to certain Clan Roles can
grow more rapidly using these specialized manuals. Since these Manuals are
carried by students throughout The Land, and mortality rates are high, it is
more likely that one might find a lost Manual of this type while traveling.
Function of
Towns
Deviant Clans disciples tend to avoid entering towns where
Major Clans have settled or Imperial Guards hold posts.
You can find Merchants in the towns, as well as Doctors, Blacksmiths,
Seamstresses, Couriers and Innkeepers. You can chek-in to an Inn to set your
Revival Point.
You will find most quests within Towns.
Deviant Clans
Know well about Monsters&Deviant Clans
Deviant
Clan disciples are aggressive NPCs. They may attack alone or in groups.
If you are engaged in combat with a Deviant Clan Disciple it is worth
understanding that they have their own Kung Fu techniques and varying degrees of
mastery. This allows you to detect their strengths and weaknesses and develop
your own tactics against it.
Deviant Clan incidents can range from a single large monster of the Beast
Clan to several dozen disciples of various rank from a clan like Secret Shadows.
Usually, Deviant Clans are enemies of all players, but there are some special
circumstances where they may become allies.
Deviant Clans have many factions and most of them are in opposition with one
another. If you are ever in trouble this knowledge can be used to good effect.
Deviant Clans will sometimes choose to fight against each other rather than
against you.
There are many Deviant Clans fighting for dominance in The Land to fill the
power vaccum that arose in the aftermath of The War of Nine Dragons. Currently,
the greatest threats to the well-being of The Land are the Secret Shadow Clan,
Death Valley Clan, Valley of Hell Clan, Beast Clan, and The Clan of Golden
Coins.
